On 18 February 2022, the acquisition of EasiBridge® by the BANAIR Group was announced publicly for the first time across social media channels — eight months after the deal completed. The announcement confirmed that EasiBridge® would expand BANAIR’s growing product range, cementing the group’s reputation for innovative engineered solutions for military clients worldwide. The message was direct: “BANAIR bring unparalleled capabilities to deliver EasiBridge innovations internationally.”
For procurement officers, special forces equipment teams, and defence contractors searching for man-portable bridging systems, lightweight tactical assault bridges, portable gap-crossing solutions, or modular military engineering equipment, the BANAIR acquisition marked a step change. EasiBridge® was no longer a UK-only innovation — it was now backed by an international defence manufacturing and distribution network with established relationships across NATO armed forces and government procurement frameworks.
Dr. Stephen Bright, now Technical Director at BANAIR, remained at the core of the innovation programme. The announcement confirmed that the next twelve months would see delivery of a range of MoD-funded projects — signalling that development of new capabilities was accelerating under BANAIR ownership.
