A novel innovation using lightweight, modular, weld-free spaceframes to construct MLC12+ vehicle bridges — no tools, cranage, or specialist equipment required. Components 10× lighter (20kg max.) and 20× more compact than incumbent Bailey systems; negating any requirement for site-cranage or 6+ person lifts.

No far-bank access
Contested or destroyed crossings rarely leave you the far side. The EB100 cantilevers from your bank only. The launch nose lands first — you push the truss across by hand, from one side only.

No cranes. No plant. No engineer.
Components peak at 20kg. A small team assembles bay-by-bay and rolls the bridge over a demountable steel skate. No HIAB, no abnormal loads, no specialist operator licence required.
03 | 03 — Reuse
Reusable. Repairable. In-service.
Bolted node connectors and anodised aluminium tubes designed for repeated assembly and disassembly cycles, field service, and long-life corrosion resistance. Not a single-use bridge.

Ultra-Portable
Uniquely flat-packed stowage inside 2 m hollow deck sections. An entire 12m bridge condenses to 0.8 × 2.0 × 1.5m — transportable in a single Foxhound or Humvee trailer. The 30m bridge requires only one DROPS vehicle.

No Site Cranage
Components 10× lighter (20kg max.) and 20× more compact than incumbent Bailey systems — negating any requirement for site cranage or six-person lifts. A small team assembles bay-by-bay and pushes the bridge across by hand..

Unique Push-Launch
Patented cantilever-launch using a demountable lightweight steel skate (2m beam, 13kg). Pushed from the home bank only. No far-bank access required at any stage. Launch nose integrates directly into the main framework at 30m spans.

The octet truss
Weld-free spaceframe.
Bolted, repairable, indefinite.
For 100 ft (30m) spans, the Octet-Truss configuration allows direct integration of the launch nose into the main bridge framework. Bridges deploy as complete trackway pairs over a demountable, lightweight launch skate.
Chord tubes
Machined 6082-T6 aluminium. CNC-turned threaded ends. Fully interchangeable.
Node connectors
Cast aluminium clamp blocks, CNC-milled. Bolt-up, no welding.
Diagonal bracing
Spaceframe diagonals forming a fully triangulated 3D truss.
Deck plates
Aluminium, laid across both trackways forming roadway and lateral bracing.
Launch skate
Demountable steel cradle, chain-roller rails. 2m beam, 13kg.
Launch nose
Cable-stayed steel trestle, integrated into framework during push-launch.

The EB100 uses a patented cantilever-launch technique. Crew never sets foot on the far bank to put the bridge across.

Build bay-by-bay on the home bank. Bolted nodes only — no welding, no specialist tools.

Fit the launch nose
Cable-stayed trestle integrates directly with the leading bays of the main spaceframe framework.

Push-launch by handy
Push the growing trackway over the skate rollers. Cantilevers out across the gap from the home bank only.
05 | 06 — land
Land the nose
Leading end touches down on the far bank edge. No equipment needed on the far side at any point.

Lower & deck
Lower onto bearing pads on both banks. Lay deck plates. Remove launch nose. Open to traffic.
Engineering Logic
Why launch from one side?
Most rapid-deployment bridge systems still need cranage, far-bank pioneer crews, or a launch vehicle. Each is a target, a delay, or a footprint that betrays the crossing site. The EB100 removes them all.
The cantilevered spaceframe is launched horizontally over a low-profile skate, by the crew, from the home bank only. Once the nose touches down, the structure is already in position — it just needs lowering and decking.
Portability

All members 2m or less — flat-packed inside the bridge’s own 2m hollow deck planks. A 30m bridge that typically needs seven HGVs now needs one DROPS vehicle.
